Aromaleigh Ephemera - July 2015
What is Aromaleigh Ephemera?: Aromaleigh Ephemera is a monthly indie subscription box for makeup. You can also buy from their makeup lines that are released regularly. Their lines are based on mythology, history, literature, etc and they make some gorgeous colors with amazing finishes. See my past Aromaleigh Ephemera reviews here. This will be the second to last review of Aromaleigh's Ephemera. The owner announced last week that August will be the last box offered.
How much is Aromaleigh Ephemera?: $17.99 with shipping to the US.
In my opinion, these colors would have been great for a Halloween box! The artwork was done by Catharine Corrigan.
This month's theme is Nikola Tesla! At the bottom of this, there is the spoiler for next month's box! :)
My first thought was that this box is really full! Four shadows, a lip balm, and a perfume? That's ridiculous.

Alternating Current - Vivid warm purple with bluish interference glow.
I love, love, love this. Aromaleigh does bright colors so well, and this is one that can go from just being bright to being bold with just a few extra swipes. The shimmer complements the base nicely.
Wardenclyffe - Soft metallic taupe with blue to violet interference.
At first I thought this was going to be a basic neutral, until I swatched it that is. The blue/purple shimmer is so unique, and it is a color that can be worn to work while still looking professional.
Eidetic Memory - Rich warm green with metallic olive gold tones.
I love green shadows, and this was no exception. It shimmers bright the green balances out the gold nicely.
Visionary - Smooth, warm-toned metallic copper.
Probably my favorite color of the box, only because I can't find anything in my collection that comes close to this. I love copper to be used as a single color or in a more complex look!

Extras.
Lip Sparrow Lip Jelly (Eccentric) - Nourishing and moisturizing lip tint, surprisingly wearable in it's deep purply tone.
I know friends of mine have said they love the lip jelly, so I know it's just me that isn't a fan. I'm not big on purple/blue/anything not coral or pink for lips, so it's me being picky. It did go on very smoothly and I would love to have this product in a different shade.
Alchimia Apothecary Fragrance (Resonant Frequency) - The purple static in the air itches your tongue and the heat holds a certain sweetness that you can't quite pinpoint. Energy pulses and brings you to life in this eye-opening concoction.
I'm really loving the complex fragrances that I've been getting in boxes recently. Resonant Frequency has a ton of layers of complexity to the scent and it never gets old or smells stale. The container, on the other hand, did cause my clumsy self a few issues.
Swatch.
The spoiler for next month states Marietta, Ohio is named after her. I know what that means, but do you? Let me know in the comments what you think!
Overall I really loved this box and how nicely the colors went with the theme. I am super sad about next month being the last box, but I completely understand her reasoning, and she will still be putting out tons of eye shadow collections to scoop up.
As always, let me know what you thought about this box in the comments!
