Ipsy Glam Bag #2 - May 2015
I have been doing a bad thing and getting two bags from Ipsy each month. My main profile gets the products reviews and such while this profile gets nothing. I was curious to see what variation might happen if I didn't do any reviews or preferences.
Ipsy is a monthly subscription priced at $10/month that sends 4-5 products plus a different (mini) makeup bag each month. They also have a referral program where you earn points for referring people to joining. Those points can also be earned for sharing your bag on Facebook and reviewing the products you receive. The nice part is they offer online coupons for most of their monthly items and you can get the coupons for all offered products in all bags that month, just not yours. They have updated the rewards you get for using points and now will offer rewards for 500, 1000, and 1500 points. They still are terrible about updating what is offered and currently, not too much is in stock. Be sure to use your points within a year of earning them, though, because they do expire.

I was so glad that I got two different bags.
Pixi by Petra Beauty Bronzer (Summertime) ($7.00?) - I actually have no clue what this is priced at, as you can only purchase with the kabuki brush through the website. It's a nice consistency bronzer, but so not the color when you are super pale. I double checked and I did put the lightest shade on my profile, so that's a bummer. The lightest shade actually looks really nice and I'm considering seeing if a local store carries it.
Bare Republic Mineral Face SPF 30 ($3.00) - I am finally making myself wear sunscreen (I KNOW!), thanks to a few wrinkles that are popping up. I don't necessarily want to get sunscreen in multiple bags, but at least I will have something small enough to throw in a bag.
bellapierre Gel Eye Liner (Ebony) ($14.99) - I can tell you right off hand, I'm not going to pay $15 for a plain black eyeliner. I really don't care how amazing they think it is, that's one thing I can't do. That being said, it goes on smooth enough and didn't budge from my hand, even after some serious attempts to rub it off.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil (Ozone) ($13.33+) - Ipsy and UD teamed up to introduce everyone to the new clear lip liner being made. It can be used just as a liner to keep everything in your lip line, or used as a primer to keep every bit of color on your lips. It's just as creamy and smooth as other UD pencils and it seemed to keep the color on nicely.
Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches ($6.00) - I don't usually use patches on my eyes, but this was a nice and relaxing treat. I have serious eye puffiness and these seemed to help. I would love to keep buying these, so I'll hopefully find a good deal on them!
This bag is valued at $44.32 and fit me nicely, especially for me not doing reviews. I feel like this would have been a good starter box for anyone trying out Ipsy for the first time, which is really the point of my second subscription. As always, let me know what you thought about this in the comments!
