Birchbox #1 - November 2014
Birchbox is the original subscription box, and it's still going strong. Even when the box isn't the greatest, the subscription is usually worth it because of the points system. For those that don't know, Birchbox sends anywhere from 4 to 8 products a month (full size, deluxe sample size, and sample size) and you can review your items each month for 10 points/item. You can also get additional points for getting a yearly subscription or getting referrals. Every 100 points you earn is $10 to use in their shop. Now on to the box!
There was the option in November to choose a pre-selected box, so I decided I would try it out for once! It was curated with BuzzFeed Life, so they included a nice sleeve for the box!

Dr. Jart+ Pore Minimalist Mask ($7.00) - Masks have blown up recently and I'm finally getting into grabbing one for myself. I admit, this was part of the reason I wanted this box. I need to get into doing masks to get my skin in order!
Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips ($2.90) - Another Nipple Balm. I picked this box before I found out what was in my other box, but that's perfectly fine! I like using this and it's so moisturizing. It's great for my dry, winter lips and my drying cuticles. I need a ton of this it seems like!
amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo ($6.75) - I'm not a huge fan of dry shampoos but I can pass it along to someone else. This isn't a bad dry shampoo, it's just not a product in general I'm interested in.
Mirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24 Hour Mascara ($11.60) - More mascara! Mirenesse is a great brand, just no more...please? I'll give it to my mom and she will be use the crap out of it.
Greenleaf Candle ($5.00) - I am not sure quite what price to put this as because the website has it as a candle in a glass jar but I received a votive candle. It also smells terrible. I definitely would not burn this in my apartment...it'll be given to someone with my apologies.
Overall, this box is worth $33.25, which is pretty good for it only costing $10. I did pick this for myself, so I knew what I was getting from the start. Did you pick a curated box or did you let Birchbox decide? Let me know in the comments!
