Ipsy Glam Bag - October 2014
Ipsy is a monthly subscription priced at $10/month that sends 4-5 products plus a different (mini) makeup bag each month. They also have a referral program where you earn points for referring people to joining. Those points can also be earned for sharing your bag on Facebook and reviewing the products you receive. The nice part is they offer online coupons for most of their monthly items and you can get the coupons for all offered products in all bags that month, just not yours. They have updated the rewards you get for using points and now will offer rewards for 500, 1000, and 1500 points. They still are terrible about updating what is offered and currently, not too much is in stock. Be sure to use your points within a year of earning them, though, because they do expire.

I was lucky again this month, because my pretty, pink envelope was sealed. It actually seemed to be extra sealed because it took some effort to open it! I hope they are listening to those that are getting empty envelopes and making an effort to seal them up good!
This month's bag is really, really cute. It's not huge, but it definitely could hold a good amount of stuff. I love the color and would definitely buy a bigger bag in the same color.
Somehow I missed taking a picture of the card (now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I even got a card) but the theme is 'Beauty Candy' and the bag is filled with colorful and eye-candy looks! The promo video was super cute, but I don't really see the theme in my items.
Noyah Lipstick (Deeply in Mauve) ($~9) - This is just the smallest lipstick I've ever seen. I love the creaminess of it, but I hate the color of it. Noyah has two pink shades that I would have absolutely loved, but this is just far too dark and a little too purple for me. It is definitely going to be passed on to someone else.
Ayres Patagonia Body Butter ($4.15) - I like that it's very moisturizing, but I wouldn't put it on my hands or arms. One of the scents involved makes me feel like I'm going to have a sneeze attack. I don't not love it, I just don't like the sneezing. It did wonders for my dry skin on my legs, though, so I definitely will be using this up during the winter!
Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser ($4.00) - This stuff smells amazing! I love that it's fresh and doesn't smell like I'm piling chemicals on my face. I can always use another cleanser to work on my face, so this is a definite keep!
Nicole by OPI (On a Gilt Trip) ($6.99) - I cannot find a link to this color, so I'm thinking it is one that has been relabeled from an old line (something that happens a lot more often than I thought). It's a great, shimmery gold and definitely a lot better than the color in my preview, but I've never been a super fan of NOPI. I always have to use it outside, while other brands I can use in my room, because the smell is just so strong. It's not a bad product, just not what I usually use.
Skone Tattooed Eyeliner ($15.00) - I like eyeliners, but I am partial to pencils. This is supposed to help make the perfect cat eye, so it's great for people that have the control necessary to do that. That's just one thing I probably will never master. This eyeliner has great staying power and is a good black, but it's nothing particularly special and definitely not something I would put in my makeup bag.
My bag was worth approximately $39.14, but that's not exact because I cannot find the exact cost of the lipstick. I definitely was able to find some products I will continue to use, and I received some items that I will be able to pass on to someone else that will use them, so this bag was worth the cost this month. Who else got Ipsy this month? What did you think about it, and were there any loves or hates? Let me know in the comments!
