Lip Factory - August 2014

I finally bought into another box and decided on trying Lip Factory. While the name is Lip Factory, they do included other makeup products other than lip products. Once a quarter, they have an 'only lips' box that is 100% lip products, so I will probably keep this subscription until the next quarterly box at least due to my love of lip products. This box is $22/month (and bills through PayPal for those that want to use PayPal rather than cards) and includes 5-7 products! They do have a rewards program where you earn points for purchasing in their store along with subscriptions and referrals! (If I could figure out how to refer or what my referral number was, that would be AWESOME.) They also do a beauty profile, which is great and makes me thing (at least) that they are taking my likes/dislikes/etc and using them towards my box. Now on to the box!

This month's box was delayed so I'm not sure when they are actually going to be delivered under normal circumstances. I will see next month and hopefully it won't take as long as it did this month!

Lip Factory comes in a basic brown box, but still looks cute and relevant to today's trends.

For some reason, I am in love with this sticker. If I had a hundred, I would put them everywhere. I am sure my parents and my fiance would love me marking everything that I consider 'mine' with these!

I wasn't sure what to expect when opening this box, but I was pleased to see that a mini booklet was included with info.

While I was pleased to see the booklet, it was difficult to photograph. This is the list of products included, which is quite a few for the price. I wasn't sure what to expect after seeing the delay due to damaged products, but I was pleased for the most part!

The picture of the products included. I like that they included costs and total value so I don't have to go search for it if I'm interested in buying a product. I hate loving a product and learning it costs a first-born child, I like to know first.

Medusa's Makeup Stick It Eye Primer ($8.00) - I admit, I never use eye shadow primer for anything other than swatches, and only because it makes the swatch more true-to-life. I probably should use it more, but I never remember to. Maybe having this out will make me more likely to use it, as the UD samples I have still aren't opened due to my fear of them drying out. For the price, I could see myself buying more once this runs out!

LASplash Mineral Blush ($15.00) - I am a mineral makeup newbie, it's true. I used to use the Maybelline stuff years ago, but I'm loving having mineral blush! It's great and has a buildable color, so I think it will work for most skin tones. I like that you can have control of how much comes out so you aren't wasting a ton of product, also!

Red Cherry False Lashes ($2.50) - Instant trade box addition. I refuse to use false lashes and getting another pair never will convince me to do it. I use good enough mascara so I get asked if my real ones are fake enough. I'm sure my friends will love getting them, though! I'd love input from others on what they think about these.

Pink Powder Parlor Lip Stick ($10.00) - Since this subscription is named 'Lip Factory,' I was hoping for some good lip products in the box! This one product, though, was the cause of the delay for the boxes being shipped. They waited because this product isn't actually labeled as being 'Pink Powder Parlor,' so I will definitely forget who made this after about a week of use (someone remind me if I mention it!). It's a great color, though, and a great price if I were to ever get through a lip stick to buy another.

LASplash Lip Lacquer ($9.00) - I was glad to see that the lip stick and gloss complement each other. This has the typical stickiness and shine for a lower priced lip gloss, but it's still good enough and has enough lasting power to make it to my lineup - if I could ever get through one of the glosses I have in my purse already!

Cult Nails Nail Lacquer ($12.00) - I want to start out by saying that this is the good Cult branded nail polish, not the bad. If they had sent the 'bad' brand, I would have probably canceled on the spot. There are certain brands I refuse to support and that is a big one. As we all know, I love nail polish, so this is a great addition to my collection. I probably already have ten similar shades to this, but this blue is so perfect that it is needed in my life. I have always been pleased with Cult Nails, and this holds up to the test.

As the booklet says, this box is worth $56.50, which is more than double what I paid for it. For my first month, this wasn't something that I fell in love with. I am definitely hoping that the next few months blow me away and that I fall in love with the majority of the box. Did anyone else get Lip Factory this month? What were your loves, hates, and new items from it? Let me know in the comments!
