Ipsy Glam Bag - September 2014

Ipsy is a monthly subscription priced at $10/month that sends 4-5 products plus a different (mini) makeup bag each month. They also have a referral program where you earn points for referring people to joining. Those points can also be earned for sharing your bag on Facebook and reviewing the products you receive. The nice part is they offer online coupons for most of their monthly items and you can get the coupons for all offered products in all bags that month, just not yours. They have updated the rewards you get for using points and now will offer rewards for 500, 1000, and 1500 points. They still are terrible about updating what is offered and currently, not too much is in stock. Be sure to use your points within a year of earning them, though, because they do expire.

I have seen that once again, people's envelopes are turning up empty or partially empty. While I love the pink envelopes Ipsy uses and I understand that this is their 'signature' thing, they really need to find a better way to ship their bags. There is no telling how many girls are getting empty bags due to this.

This month's theme is Street Style and they included some great bold colors in some of the bags!

This month's bag design. It definitely goes with the theme and it's bigger than some I have received, which means I might actually be able to use it! I love the studs and they seem to be on there pretty well, as I have picked and tugged on them some already to check.

Crown Brush Deluxe Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet ($17.50) - I can honestly say I wasn't sure how I was going to like this. I have so many brushes and I was afraid that it would be full-size, therefore useless to me. Maybe it was because I wasn't sure how it would stand up or maybe because it's just not my usual brushes. I was so happy to see that it's smaller and perfect for my purse, though. I knew I wouldn't be able to put it in my holder but it's perfect to throw in with my travel brushes for when I need to touch-up my makeup. It does need to be washed prior to use, however, just like all other brushes you get!

Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair Deep Conditoning Mask ($4.95) - Oh my goodness, this smells like heaven. I am always concerned about getting hair products because I tend to be set in my ways, but I want to slather this all over my hair just so I smell like this constantly! As the name states, this is for dry, damaged hair and is safe for color-treated hair, which basically describes my currently life. I like the size of it, because there will be enough for me to use plenty...and this might become part of my new hair regimen!

Pacifica 7-Free Nail Polish (Red, Red Wine) ($9.00) -  I'm sure this is a lovely polish with a lovely formula, but it has been traded off and has been since I saw it on my reveal. I wanted to try the eyeliner and she wanted the polish, so it worked out perfectly! I am not sure about it being 7-free since they consider resin and animals being part of the '7,' but to each their own!

LeeAnni Eco 3-in-1 Revolution Light ($3.06) - This is a lighter version of their regular 3-in-1 Revolution that is supposed to be a toner, serum, and moisturizer all in one. It hasn't broken me out yet, so that's really positive! It is very pricey, however, so this probably won't be something I would buy on my own.

Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss (Love Affair) ($19.00 - Wow, this is really, really dark. It's even darker in person than it is in the picture. It's like a seriously vampy, red. I can see how it's pretty on some people, but I would have loved some of the lighter, peachier shades. Still, it's a great value with great staying power! This is another that I will end up buying others of!

My bag totaled up to $53.51 but the brush has since gone on sale. I still think this bag is a great value regardless of the monetary value because I found some great new products out of it! Has anyone else gotten their Ipsy bag this month? Were there any problems or did it go over smoothly? Any loves, must-haves, or fails? Let me know in the comments!
