Boxycharm - July 2014

This month's theme for Boxycharm was 'America the Beautiful' and that being beautiful is the best way to celebrate patriotism. I really expected a lot of blues and reds to be in this box, but it wasn't. This is only my second Boxycharm, so I'm still getting used to their system. The shipping/wait time was ridiculous, though. They advertise that they have ten business days to ship, but it definitely took longer. It also flip-flopped throughout Florida for a week, so I was shocked that nothing was melted/ruined.

Boxycharm is a monthly subscription that costs $21/month. They have monthly themes and send items based on those themes. I've seen boxes average 4-5 items, but some have more items. All of the boxes in a month are the same, which is good for spoilers. You also have the entire month to sign up and still be eligible to get that month's box. Shipping does take some time, though. They post that they have 5-10 business days to send you box out. They have a referral program and getting referrals gets you a free item from their shop.

Their box is super cute and looks like a little present, which I love!

Appeal Cosmetics Luxurious Lipstick (V) ($22.00) - Wowzers, this is definitely pink. Any of the other colors they sell would have been better, but this is far too much. I don't see myself ever wearing this color, nor do I see many other people wearing it as well.

bellapierre Natural Lip Liner (Truly Red) ($18.00) - While this says it's red, it looks more like a rich copper to me. I can use this with various lip sticks I currently have, though, so it's not a waste. It's easy to apply but it is a pencil so it will have to be sharpened (I'm a bit lazy).

pur-lisse pur-protect SPF 30 Moisturizer ($55.00) - More of this stuff. I still have no use with sunscreen, so it's going to my mom. This isn't a bad product, it's just everywhere this month. It doesn't seem to make her face oily, however, so that's always nice out of a sunscreen.

Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish (Rodeo Drive) ($18.00) - I love nail polish, obviously, but I don't like reds. It's a good formula, however, and I like that it's 5-free. They have other amazing colors, and I'm interested in them!

bellapierre Shimmer Powder (Twilight) ($14.99) - This is a beautiful gold, shimmer color. It has great staying power, but does spread easily. I can see this being both a subtle highlight on my cheeks and on my eyes. It's just enough to catch the light, but doesn't make me look like I'm going to a rave!

The total for this box is $127.99, which is amazing for only costing $21! While I didn't love everything, I loved enough that it was still worth the cost and then some! What was everyone else's thoughts on the box?
