Birchbox + Women's Health - July 2014

Birchbox is the original subscription box, and it's still going strong. Even when the box isn't the greatest, I'm always happy to continue my subscription due to the points system. For those that don't know, Birchbox sends anywhere from 4 to 8 products a month (full size, deluxe sample size, and sample size) and you can review your items each month for 10 points/item. You can also get additional points for getting a yearly subscription or using someone's referral. Every 100 points you earn is $10 to use in their shop. For $10/month (for the women's box), I think it's worth it for the points alone. Now on to the box!

This month's theme is Power Up and its all about boosting up yourself. They included power up challenges and a year's subscription of Women's Health to help get you started on your path to being healthy. It's a pretty good theme, but I think it would have fit in for January, mostly because it's the month EVERYONE makes a resolution to get healthy. It's still a great box, and I still like it, even being in July!

This was the design for the shipping box. Another pretty color that I wish I could find a use for!

The inner box, super cute and definitely fit in with the theme for the month. I like it when they are themed, that's for sure.

Theme card.

Info card. These are still amazing and I think I would cry if they stopped using them.

First look. It looked packed in quite well, but I could instantly tell that things were smaller.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($6.46) - Be careful! This is highly pressurized! And smells bad. It can be used for frequently and does an okay job with cleaning your hair. It's hard for me to let my hair get dirty enough to use dry shampoo, but I can see potentially using this on second day. As with all dry shampoos, it's best to use them the night before so you moving during your sleep can distribute it without using too much product.

Marcelle New·Age 8 in 1 Power Serum ($8.16) - Very small, but a little goes a long way! This product advertises that it fills in lines and reduce deep wrinkles. It's going to take a while to figure out if it actually works. It better, for the price!

Naobay Body Radiance Lotion ($2.88) - Yet another body lotion, what a surprise. Luckily, it doesn't stink or smell like hotel lotion. In fact, it doesn't really have a smell at all. This is very nice for those of us that will sneeze themselves to death if stuff smells. Thank you, Birchbox!

100% Pure Gingerade Shower Gel (Honey Cream Wash) - I unfortunately cannot do a price on this, because Birchbox doesn't have a size listed for the full-sized product. I still do not understand foil packs, and body wash foil packs just make me angry. This is seriously ridiculous. Not a plus.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain (Sugar) ($9.29) - I couldn't stop laughing at the site of this itty bitty lip gloss. It's a great color and lasts a while, but it's just so small. I would definitely lose this in my purse so it's going to have to stay at home for now.

Totaled up, this box was worth $26.79 (not including the body washes that I couldn't price). It was a decent box, but there is always room for improvement. What was everyone else's take on your box?
