Beauty Box 5 - July 2014

This is my third (and last) Beauty Box 5. While the products were decent, I was seriously dissatisfied with their customer service and it put an awful taste in my mouth. Instead of correcting a wrong, they were rude and sarcastic, not a good thing when you are a customer-based company. For those that don't know, BB5 is a monthly subscription that sends 5 deluxe samples and full-sized items based on the beauty survey you complete. After last month's changing my survey, it caused the box to become worse, so change at your own risk. The box is $12/month, so decently priced if you want to get drugstore items that you may or may not use. They have a referral program starting up but don't have any information listed about what you get for referrals. Let's get to my box!

Their box is always the same, and it always seems like it won't stay shut once you cut the tape.

This month's theme is Defining Moments, and you are supposed to celebrate things that make you happy. I like the general theme a lot!

Info card. It once again had social media connections, which is nice.

Anna Naturals Glowing Mama Walnut Face & Body Scrub ($2.75) - I'm estimating this at about one ounce, while a full size is four ounces. There is apparently a 'fruity' smell to it, which I am attributing to the walnuts in it (I have had a cold for a while so I'm relying on my fiance to determine the smell). It's definitely a scrub, but it's not so rough that I'm afraid of using it. I will definitely use this on my face more than my body, just because of how expensive it is (and I have a body detailer to use on my body). Love this!

Body Drench Candy Licious Lips (Cotton Candy) ($3.99) - This definitely has become my new lip product for my purse! I love the cotton candy smell (it's an easy way to win me over), and I love that it's skinnier so I can fit it in more places. It also comes in a ton of other flavors, including peppermint, which I'm interested in trying!

Revlon Bold Laquer Mascara ($7.99) - I'm so over this mascara, but my mom loves that everyone is sending this stuff. I know that it's product placement for Revlon, but they could have spread out when they gave it for boxes to send out so we weren't bombarded with it. It's a good mascara, and my mom seems to love it, but it's just not the products I'm used to.

Miss Jessie's Multi Cultural Curls ($1.88) - This is the problem I had with the box. I don't like that they sent a product out for women of multi-cultural heritages to women that aren't. I have used this type of product in the past and it made my hair seriously greasy and useless. I'm sure plenty of people use this fine, but it took me a while to get it all out of my hair.

HASK Argan Oil Intense Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment ($2.49) - I LOVE argan oil treatments! They work wonders on my hair and it's always super smooth and silky after using it. I seriously suggest using this product if you have any breakage/frizzing problems.

All total, this box was worth $19.10, which is decently over the cost of the box. They tend to have good products, but bad customer service always makes me seriously consider where I place my money next month. This is one of those times, and new subscription boxes will be purchased next month, so look for that! Comment if you got a box and let me know what all you got!
